During Jan.1 to Jun. 30, 2013, 4 varicella outbreaks were observed. The absenteeism of varicella was shorter than the disease course which could be a potential risk for transmission. Only 1/25 case sought health care in county hospital and was captured by ISSC and CISDCP. This study found that most outbreaksĀ  could not be captured by hospitals because of limited surveillance sites and wide range of healthcare choices. It highlighted the necessity of the integration of CISDCP and school absenteeism surveillance.}, number={1}, journal={Online Journal of Public Health Informatics}, author={Zhou, Changming and Tao, Tao and Cheng, Huijian and Zhao, Qi and Zhao, Genming and Li, Xue and Nie, Shaofa and Yan, Weirong and Xu, Biao}, year={2014}, month={Mar.} }
